The history of information systems and the need for computers wasn't as complicated as I thought. When it was explained in class it really made since. As I look back on just my life and how it progressed with the use of technology, it easy to see how i could use better technology to organized all the information I was taking in.
Looking at the human race as a whole and where it all started compared to today, you can see the instrumental role information system played in it.
A guy by the name of Thomas Friedman once said the world is getting flat due to our ability to share information in a nut shell. Sharing information allows people to grow socially, economically, and in may other ways increasing competition and the need for better ways to process information.
