My Fist Post

Hello my name is Jack McFaddin, and I am currently a junior here at EMU. I currently am an accounting major, and I will be graduating in three semesters, and I can't wait. I was born in Pusan, South Korea and came to America when I was 3 years old.
This is not my first blogging experience. I did blog last winter semester for professor Drake in IS 247. Some other blogging that i have done would basically be myspace and facebook.
In class so far discussion has been based on the history of information systems. which is really interesting because its amazing how computers originally started out Technology has changed so much over the last 50 or 60 years when it comes to evolution of computers. Computers are so much part of our lives that we become dependent on it. For example I wouldn't know what to do if i was to lose my cellphone because it is my lifeline to everything. Its cool how small it is and it can do so much more than a computer that was so much bigger 20 years ago.

I like how technology has changed dramatically. Even when it comes research because it is so easy to do research these days on the internet. It is even easier to write papers now because everything looks more professional when they are typed, and it is faster to type than write.

The picture above is an old PC.

  1. Hi, Jack! I found your post! Typing is really faster than writing. But do you find now people forget how to spell words more often.

  2. The rapid change in technology is pretty amazing. Computers used to be so big that they would fill up an entire room. Now, we carry them with us, and many of us would be lost without them. The iPhone and the Droid are two examples of how small computers have gotten. The internet and World Wide Web does make research easier, especially because we have the ability to go wireless now. We can look up information just about anywhere through a laptop or a phone. I feel like I am running to catch up with all of this new technology and I often ask myself, "where is technology going to go in the future?" It is hard to imagine because I never pictured the technology we use (and take for granted) today.
