Hackers
Last week, our professor talked about hackers in class. According to Wikipedia, hackers refers to the re-configuring or re-programming of a system to function in ways not facilitated by the owner, administrator, or designer.
Hacker is not only unmoral, sometimes they are illegal. I just read a news about hacker ,witch reports Hacker Max Ray Vision was sentenced to a prison term of 13 years and ordered to pay restitution of $27.5 million bucks for stealing credit card numbers and selling them.
The word "Hacker" remind me one movie called the Martix.

That's serious.
ReplyDeleteThe type of hackers you may have been looking at are the bad ones. The ones that are trying to do bad things to people. I also did a blog about hackers but it was more about how there are also good types of hackers who are very useful. Just like the guy that we saw a video on who went to jail but then when he got out he got a job helping companies find flaws in their systems.
ReplyDeleteI agree that hacking is a real threat to all computer users. I don't think there is a computer user out there who hasn't experienced the fear that this attachment or that download will infect their computer. However, as Desiree said there are absolute advantages to hacking like detecting security risks. Hacking is like most things, it is up to the person doing it to make it ethical or not.
