Be careful of what you download.

The Internet has over 100 billion sites and information roaming around, which makes it harder to automatically detect a scam which may be a virus. Many viruses are obtained from porno sites, because viewers are anxious and desperate to download, no knowing what's really in store. But the MAIN way to get a virus on your computer is by downloading music through file sharing sites.

Lime wire is the world most popular peer- to- peer file sharing program. With over 50 million users, the software is downloaded hundreds of thousands of times daily. The software itself isn't how you get the virus, its the music, and videos that attacks your computer. Once a certain title of a song, video or picture is searched, users tend to download the first one out of the hundreds that are available. This is where the problem starts. Once the file is saved to the computer, the attacking begins costing A LOT of money to get rid of. Many usually fail to immediately take initiative as soon as a virus is detected, which eventually after the computer is completely damaged, with over more than 100 viruses.

I've honestly spent more than $200 in getting my laptop cleaned from downloading music from linmewire. After getting tired of having "clean" or "reboot" my laptop, I realized that paying for music and videos is the better route. I spend no where near the amount recovery costs for downloading it for free. So with that being said, the Internet is NOT safe which is why you should be careful of what you download. If the email looks unusual, then immediately delete it. If your computer tells you that you have a virus, then take care of it instead of not taking care of it which may result in you having to purchase another computer.
