Repair A PC?
I am thinking about a question that how many people choose to repair their broken computers now. Price drives the computer selling and repairing market. While a new DELL basic computer is as cheap as $399.00, the computer repairing service company charge their customers $40.00-60.00 per hour. If your computer was out of work , would you like to fix it or get a new one?
Personally, it depends on. If I didn't back up the data I need in the old one and it could be fixed, I would go to fix it. If it can't be repaired, or I have no important data in it, or it costs me so much, maybe at that time I would buy a new one.
I know most people will have the same consideration with me. The truth is that business users, manufacture users, those who own large computers and data storage is extremely important to them, are the computer repairing company's main target market.

wow that was some very interesting reading. I see why some people buy new computers while others paid more money it took to get the computer. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteGracia I must disagree with you if my computer was getting older and I was having problems with then I would get a new computer. Over time if the computer keeps acting up then it will be the same cost of buying a new computer. Of course I am very compulsive and am always trying to get the newest technology all the time. And I know you know I have had a lot of phones... LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is a good post. Right before this semester my old Sony Vaio laptop broke the screen burnt out or something within the screen. I called a few places to have it fixed and just for the screen it would be over $400, well that laptop had Microsoft xp on it and was just old anyways. I could not justify fixing it, I bought a Dell studio for just over $700. Now I have to hook it up to a monitor at some point and get all my pictures and music off it.
ReplyDeleteI have also underwent this dilemma. I have a computer that is about 4 years old and have wondered if I should just buy a new one or repair it. Due to the ever growing technology, it is almost practical to buy a new computer every 3 years. Anything beyond this is obsolete and is upgraded. I would side with buying a new computer.
