The growth of the web

As we approach the tail end the semester, we began this week talking about web 1.0 and web 2.0. We compared and contrast these two phenoms and looked at how they have transformed over the years.

As a business major this particular subject is very intriguing to me. Its intriguing because of how web 1.0 was based on the authors of the cite trying to get as many eyes as possible to view they're information. As for 2.0 authors of the cite moved they're focus to not only getting eyes to the cite but encouraging user interaction.

With 2.0 its no longer about the information that I want to get out to the world. A shift has been made and it is now about what the user whats to know and use. Increasing my interest is all the software that companies use or integrate to increase user interaction. For example software and applications like Facebook, Google Maps, and Flickr.
