Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is the man who is best known for making the social network of what we call Facebook. Although facebook’s primary use is for people to reconnect with lost friends and family; that is not what it is only good for. Facebook can be used as an effective business tool. It is great for marketing, connecting with customers, advertisment and social media. You can also connect with huge bodies of people in any organization or workplace.
With more than 150 million members and counting, imagine what businesses could benefit from using this site. With these numbers rising on the loose, advertisment will be off the charts with posts by people who are interested along with icons that show up on everyone’s home page. People constantly are looking for job openings, assistance, technical support/help and ways of contacting the dealers who can give them what they’re looking for.
More and more businesses are jumping into the social media as marketing continues to show that online tools such as Twitter and Facebook can be an effective as well as a free way to reach everyone who may be interested. Along with some examples that were used in todays lecture.
According to a recent study by Aberdeen Group, top companies who are using social-networking sites like Facebook to improve interaction with customers, reveals that companies that are using these networks are 17 times more likely to improve customer satisfaction than companies that don’t use these sites. Using the site to spread the word about your business can pay off. What do you have to lose?

I think social networking sites are a great way to reach your market and get your company's name out there. On Twitter businesses post updates for the day about special deals or offers, and on Facebook companies can promote events or new products. That is really interesting that companies on social networking sites are 17 times more likely to improve customer satisfaction, it makes complete sense.
ReplyDeleteI think social networking sites provide people more ways to know some useful information. It is very easy to catch eyes and attention. Companies use social networking to achieve and broad the widely business area.
ReplyDeleteI think Facebook is the way of the future. Its free advertisement for businesses. You can advertise your business as well as people talking about your service on Facebook. For example, if own a restaurant, you can advertise your daily specials and have customers comment on them. There's nothing like one customer to another interaction.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to get the word out about your business. Even if you already have a popular business, it allows users easy access. You can show what your specials you are offering, etc. People can look you up on facebook and they can get all the information they need and perhaps even find customer feedback to see what others think. I also believe it is the way of the future and can help out many businesses as well as customers.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Facebook has become an essential tool to many businesses. However, as we all know, it can also be quite detrimental to many businesses. I have seen on the news were business professionals are shamed by the contents of their personal facebook pages. Just as in many things, facebook is great when used appropriately and incredibly detrimental when it is used inappropriately.Companies have to be extremely aware of the image their employees are portraying.
