Chrysler and NASA

This week Chrysler and NASA joined forces together again to a three year agreement for work on the space program, and working on technology. Chrysler, which emerged from bankruptcy a year ago, said it plans to collaborate with NASA on several areas including materials engineering, robotics, radar, battery systems and other energy storage mediums.
This is a great Opportunity for Chrysler to get back on their feet. In 2009 Chrysler went bankrupt and an italian company Fiat bought most of it's assets to keep Chrysler existing. Chrysler and Fiat have been working together ever since to produce a line of economy cars. This agreement has marked the second time that NASA has signed an agreement to work with an automobile company. Chrysler in 1961, built rocketsfor the mercury project which the first space shuttle. It also built 2 apollo spacecraft. Signing Chrysler to a three year deal will benefit NASA greatly because Chrysler have had experience than any other motor company in the U.S. This deal was announced in Auburn Hills, a town that was affected greatly by all the bankruptcy that Chrysler and GM had to face.

  1. I think that it is good for Chrysler to be able to bounce back from being bankrupt. Hopefully this will lead to better opportuities for not only the company, but for all of the places that were affected by them going bankrupt.
